Suvithra Music is happy to bring Sangeet Symphony, a call to all kids and adults who are into the music world, be it vocal or instrument playing. Please be part of this once in life time opportunity. 
Sangeet Symphony is a unique concept that fuses Western classical music orchestra seamlessly with  Indian Classical (carnatic) music. Conceptualized and conducted by the internationally acclaimed carnatic musician K.N. Shashikiran.

Initially the participants will be provided an online access to the songs to be performed for the symphony and get trained through their local teachers /gurus. Songs are grouped into 2 levels and children can either sing/play all the songs or choose between level1/level 2.


The participants will get to practice as a group under the personal guidance of the Carnatica brothers from August 17th till August 22nd everyday for 2 hours at Taurya, 4000 Bearcat Way, Suite 100,Morrisville, NC 27560  from 5:30PM to 7:30PM

One unique aspect is that anyone who plays only western instruments can also participate in the Symphony.The notes will  be provided.  Notations are available for the following instruments:

If you want to play any other instrument (like Veena or Flute etc) other than listed above, you should have strong Carnatic music background in reading Carnatic notes and playing in your instrument. 

We are planning to have the symphony on August 22nd 2015 at Garner Performing Arts Center.  

You could perform in Sangeet Symphony! Follow these simple process for your very own tryst with musical destiny. You may may register for either vocal or instrumental category.

Eligibility criteria
Everyone :
  • Ages: 4 & above (no upper limit)
  • Reasonable exposure to music, preferably carnatic music
Registering for Vocal
  • Exposure to Carnatic music, preferably at the level of Geetham or higher
Registering for an instrument
  • Able to read sheet music and play

Payment and Registration Details:
Fill out the registration form and 53.70 USD towards registration fee. The amount includes registration and card processing fees. We prefer online payment which makes our accounting easier.  Please note that all payment are final and non-refundable. 

Training: 
After registration and payment, you will be receiving confirmation email with link to download the songs and sheet music files.  You are expected to work with your local teacher and learn the songs and train yourself. 
During the week of August 17th to 21st, you will attend in person training under Sri. K.N. Shashikiran, to be performed for the symphony.

Dress Code (for performance)
Traditional Indian attire is preferred. 
Any formal dress is acceptable.
